Miami's Morningside is a community found within an enclave often referred to as the Upper Eastside. Its history dates all the way back to the 1920s and was at one point called by a name that should be familiar to those who have spent some time in Miami Beach: “Bay Shore”. Morningside was the first to be designated as a historic district within the city of Miami. None other than the late Pope John Paul II enjoyed a stay in Morningside at one point. Morningside real estate is comprised of waterfront residences of varying size and square footage but it's the architecture that harkens to the neighborhood's early days in the 1920s that sets the inviting Morningside homes for sale apart from the rest. Besides the park that shares the community name, the Downtown Miami area is nearby and the barrier island of Miami Beach is accessible by heading east across Biscayne Bay. It's here where you'll find that aforementioned Bayshore area as well as notable places like Lincoln Road and trendy Ocean Drive.
